Responsibilities:
Sales and Bidding
- Develop and maintain a customer base in the Wausau area
- Attend pre-bid meeting
- Send out RFQ’s
- Work with Project Manager Administrative Assistants to determine licensing/permit requirements
- Obtain cost information related to:
- permit fees
- local insurance rate
- local wage rates
- travel (flights and/or mileage)
- Obtain pricing for equipment and from subcontractors
- Put together project estimates
- Work with Project Manager Administrative Assistants to prepare and submit quote/scope letters to customers
Project Management
- Attend pre-construction meetings
- Work with Purchasing to complete buy-out of the project
- Write/issue Purchase Orders and Subcontracts
- Work with Project Manager Administrative Assistants to:
- Gather submittals
- Take out permits
- Send in and log RFI’s
- Gather and submit O&M’s
- Set up and attend pre-job meetings
- Work with Superintendents to coordinate and assembler the crew to run the project
- Communicate with Foreman to ensure he/she is getting all required information and updates needed for the project
- Price Change Orders
- Complete labor reports and projections
- Track project financials
- Set up and attend post-job meetings
Requirements: (Experience / Education / General)
- Self-motivated
- Construction-related 2-year Associates Degree or 2 years of experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written and communication skills
- Prior sales experience is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Approximately 45 hours per week (office hours are 7am – 4pm)
